I've been waxing my whole life, as does pretty much everyone I know. We wax before taking a shower for practicality, becasue the stuff is gooey and you'll have to take another shower anyway.
But also, wax removes the dry skin, which is what makes your legs sooo smooth and refreshed afetr waxing, and I think if you waxed when you came out of the shower the dry skin will not come off as easy, because it won't be dry.
And I imagine that taking a bath beforehand would increase the pain, because warm water will make the amount of blood circulating in the skin increase, which will make skin more sensitive. It hurts no matter what, you just have to deal with it, and when you've waxed a couple times it stops hurting so much. When is the best time to wax? Before or after a shower or bath?

looks like your getting answers 50/50. half say before half say after.
maybe you should try in between. halfway through your shower stop and wax (then all your pores are open and it would hurt less) and then resume your shower (so that all the goey crap can get washed off)
I would do it after my shower because the hot water opens my pores and maybe then it would hurt less.
after, your skin will be softer and the hair will be softer too
dont listen to the people who are saying before
after is best
your poures are more open your skin is softer
and the hair comes out easier
it will hurt less if you do it after your bath or shower because your pores are then open and the hairs come off easier
i think before taking a shower
